Dove Street Light Patrol Newletter
January 2, 2009 -- Warm Weather Walkers
December’s warm weather encouraged more people than ever before to leave their cars at Coligny Plaza and enjoy the lights up close. Does this make them light footed?
Frosty Makes Friends
A snowman appeared on Dove St. to the delightful squeals of young and old alike. He didn’t say much but he had the dance moves down cold. There’s no man like a snowman!
New Video Coming
Our great friend of the street, Ben Ham, has produced a video montage with music. Hopefully we will have it on the web before you know it.
2nd Year for PEP Cards
Not only did our friends from Programs for Exceptional People help us decorate this year, they also produced new Dove Street
holiday cards. Hope you were able to purchase them through our website link.
Coligny Plaza Buttons Up
The “12 days of Giving” buttons, decorative posters, and ads featuring pictures of Dove Street were a hit this year.
Donations Hit a New High
Deep Well reports that, through volunteer participation at Coligny Plaza, they were able to collect over $12,000 from visiting folks. And who knows how many cans of food or unwrapped presents?
Delightful Dogs
As always, the canines on Dove stole the show. There was the Bearded Goldendoodle hanging out of a car, a Jack Russell named Shorty in an elf hat, and of course, Josie the Petite Pomeranian.
Circulation: A few feet in multiple directions.
